David Hascup

My name is David Hascup. I live in Laurence Harbor, NJ. I am 35 years old and have been married to Michelle (Murcko) Hascup since 2005. On December 24, 2006, Michelle and I had our greatest Christmas present you could ever ask for. Our baby boy Justin was born. As a profession, I am a Senior Programmer (iSeries) for an officially licensed sports manufacturer. I have worked for my current company since September 2002.
I started playing darts in August 1999 out of Sportsman’s Tavern in Garfield, NJ. In 2004, I started an American Darts Organization (ADO) sanctioned affiliation called the USA Dart Club. I started teaching myself php/database programming and designed a website for USA Darts (www.usadarts.com). Shortly after, Mr. Buddy Bartoletta (ADO President) approached me and asked if I would be interested in taking over the ADO website. I have been the ADO webmaster since December 2005.
In September 2009, the ADO was the host of the World Darts Federation (WDF) World Cup played in Charlotte, NC. I helped the WDF “IT” staff behind closed doors with all the results and statistics. Shortly after the World Cup, Mr. Roy Price (WDF President) approached me asking if I would be interested in taking over the WDF website. Of course I said yes and have been WDF webmaster since October 2010.
In July of 2010, Evan Waterman asked me if I would be interested in doing a podcast about darts. I was very skeptical at first and thought this would last an episode or 2, but I was willing to give it a shot. Since the, Darts Around the World (DATW) has exploded and fed into dartbook.tv.
