Everyone has been there when they are traveling in a foreign place and the only thing that is similar about where you came from is that you are all human. To some people, this very fact can make you very apprehensive about where you choose to travel. There are, however, some who’s resolve is believed to be affected by much less. Despite my desire to find places like this around the world, I still believe that a common bond between two people from completely different sides of the globe proves to be crucial in one’s understanding of the culture itself. Now there are a myriad of worldly interests that I could have chosen to make meeting somebody new a piece of cake. But, playing the game of darts, especially in a foreign place, is what interests me. Obviously, if you are reading this, you feel the same as I do. Think about a universal language that could bring the world together all just for a game. A common ground for you to share with a complete stranger. But I ask you, is it really that strange? Sure you could be in a bar, public house, alehouse, tavern, inn, cocktail lounge, saloon, taproom, hostelry, boozer, watering-hole, joint, dive, gin-palace, barrelhouse, gin-mill or even a honky tonk, but the board up on that wall might as well be the Mona Lisa glistening down upon two inspecting tourists, both sharing the same admiration. So, please join us every week as we explore new places around the world and spend some quality time with the people of these countries. Hey! You just might like it!
